Hi,

I have a two node RAC with ASM, and I have to install the CRS patch.
Before applying the patch I want to confirm wheather the CRS_HOME is shared or it is installed seperately on two nodes, I dont have any docs for this server.

Mountpoints and directory structure is same on both the nodes, which makes it difficult to figure out the diference.

I would appreciate if there is any command or way to find wheathere the CRS_HOME is shared among the two nodes or it is seperately installed.

Thanks.

Hi,

Basically the Oracle Clusterware software should not be placed on a shared filesystem.
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/clustering/pdf/oh_rac.pdf

check /etc/fstab file on each node to see where the CRS_HOMEs are mounted. Then you should see if they are on shared filesystem or not.

Tom
